YLP’s Reflection Point project on the west bank of Blue Heron Lake is taking shape in fine style. On Friday, Dec. 20, the edging stones donated by Jeanne and Jim Cosby bordering the paths were installed, plus a new path was created to make the walkway a loop and six large trees were planted. It was all done with the help of students from Minarets High School and their teacher, Dr. Mo, as well as Alex Pierce, YLOA maintenance manager.
Later, some members of the Trails and Recreation Committee returned to plant five small trees and poppy and lupine seeds donated by local resident Tommy Upton.
The committee is now taking donations to purchase enough stones to finish the path borders.
