YLP Courtesy Patrol

Courtesy Patrol for the Yosemite Lakes Owners’ Association has a primary mission to patrol the common areas of the association, observe the condition of those common elements, and report issues to the management team. Courtesy Patrol is not a law enforcement or private security for homeowners’ private property.  Homeowners or residents of the units in the community are responsible for securing their property, and arranging for housesitting services while away from home and should contact the Madera County Sheriff’s office for assistance with law enforcement.

What you can expect from Courtesy Patrol

• Patrol the common areas in their vehicles and on foot regularly, throughout the day and night.

• Receive and notate calls from residents, redirect those calls as appropriate, or provide resources and recommendations to address resident issues.

• Respond to emergency calls from Madera County Sheriff, CalFire, or other local authorities and provide support as directed by their offices

• Intake, inventory, and return of lost and found property.

• Assist with greeting residents and signing in for association board and membership meetings and events.

• Maintain knowledge of fire roads, evacuation routes, and heliports, and assist with clearing the area to prepare for Flight For Life.

• Take and file witness statements and incident reports for issues in the community common areas.

• Provide support for the community operation, as directed by the executive director and/or the community manager.

When you should contact the Madera County sheriff

• There is an imminent threat to your life or property.

• You witness a crime in progress or discover a crime after- the fact.

• There is a relative or loved one who needs a wellness check at their home in the community.
